Hurricane Florence Penis-Shaped Map Arouses Storm Of Hilarity

The makers of a hurricane tracking app know how to insert levity into a potentially dangerous situation as Hurricane Florence, a powerful Category 3 storm, treks toward the Carolinas. A most graphic graphic of the monster storm coming head on toward the coast is arousing a storm of snickers on the internet.

From the looks of a map depicting the cone where the winds are expected to be strongest, the hurricane should have been named Frederick. Didn’t we see that same drawing on a bathroom wall somewhere? Do we have to spell it out? It looks like a penis.

Posted on the National Hurricane Updates page, the map has been shared and liked tens of thousands of times.

The jokes were easy and predictable and veered sophomorically off point into the inevitable dirty talk about that time — well, never mind. But some of them were kind of hilarious.

“Yes grandchild, 2018 was the year that even Mother Nature was confused about it’s gender,” someone wrote. “That was the year the transgender hurricane Florence hit The Carolinas.”

“Why is there a penis attacking North Carolina?” someone else asked in mock shock.

It’s easy, a bunch of people noted, North Carolina is screwed. “Because Louisiana has a headache,” someone else suggested. Whatever the reason, another person wrote: “I sure hope we don’t have a little Florence 9 months from now.”

“That hurricane better be taking me to dinner first,” wrote another.

Maybe the storm would peter out, someone wrote optimistically. Send in Stormy Daniels to intercept the storm, another person suggested. And then there was this, funny and apropos: “It's not the size guys, it's the motion in the ocean.”

A page administrator chuckled along with the good-natured thrashing, writing: “But yeah, was a totally unintentional graphic.”

“Apparently widely loved and shared,” one person commented.

Lots of people don’t believe that.

“You knew exactly what you was doing,” wrote one person.

“Y’all knew,” someone agreed. “YOU ALL KNEW.”
