Florence Sprouts Tornadoes As Storm Leaves Carolinas
Video posted on social media showed a waterspout come ashore in Myrtle Beach. Tornadoes have been reported in North Carolina as well.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The eye of Florence may have fled the Carolinas, but as it did so, the deadly storm left the states with a parting gift: tornadoes. Two tornadoes were confirmed in Wayne and Wilson counties, WRAL-TV reported. One touched down near Goldsboro around 6 a.m. and a second touched down in Wilson County about an hour later. There was some damage near Elm City, the station said.
Video posted on Twitter showed multiple downed trees in Elm City — some even uprooted. No injuries or deaths have been reported but some power lines were reportedly downed.
On Monday morning, a tornado warning was issued for Durham and Granville counties and, because area schools weren't canceled, some children were seen at bus stops during the warning.
