With fired Simpsonville Police Chief Keith Grounsell and City Council member Geneva Lawrence in attendance, folks were gathering outside Simpsonville City Hall for a rally before tonight's Council meeting.
The rally, to protest Grounsell's firing last December and seek "transparency" in city government, also is asking for the resignations of Council members Gooch, Garrett, Curtis, and Mayor Perry Eichor.
Eichor just said in a press conference that he has no regrets over the Grounsell firing, and lauded new Chief Steve Moore on the "incredible" job he's doing.
