Update: Woodmont Middle School Off Lockdown
Earlier lockdown at the school, and at Sue Cleveland Elementary, came following armed robbery in area.
Update: Woodmont Middle and Sue Cleveland Elementary were put in lockdown earlier due to an armed robbery in the area. Both schools are now off lockdown, according to Greenville County Schools. Law Enforcement reported the suspect has left the area.
Earlier: Woodmont Middle School has gone on lockdown, Greenville County Schools spokesperson Susan Clarke said.
According to an email sent by Clarke, a School Resource Officer advised Woodmont Middle School's principal to go into lockdown due to an armed robbery in the area.
