Body Found in Ditch After Nightclub Shooting
Man likely killed by single gunshot wound to back at close range, according to coroner.

Authorities have discovered the body of a North Charleston man that they are speculating may be related to an early morning nightclub shooting near the corner of Ashley Phosphate and Dorchester Road, according to Dorchester County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tony Phinney.
Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet identified the body as Rashad Lamarks Banks, 26. An autopsy is scheduled but preliminary findings are that Banks died of a single gunshot wound to the back at close range, Nisbet said in a release.
The body was discovered as day broke in a ditch. Phinney said his injuries may not have been immediately fatal and he could have hid from law enforcement after the incident, evading detection.
One other person suffered a gunshot wound at the club called Rehab. The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Dorchester County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation, seeking suspects from leads, according to Phinney.Â
