Con Chellis Recognized for Outstanding Volunteerism

Local Allstate agency owner Converse Chellis received the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to helping others and community service. Because of Chellis’ outstanding volunteerism, The Allstate Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to the Dorchester Habitat for Humanity, where he volunteers.

Allstate, its agents, and employees have a proud history of putting their good hands to work in supporting South Carolina communities, promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others. Now in its 61st year, The Allstate Foundation has given more than $300 million in financial contributions to communities around the country and in 2012, gave $49,000 in South Carolina as part of the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Program.

“The Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to communities where we live, work and do business.” said Bob Holden, Field Senior Vice President for Allstate’s Southeast region. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, Converse makes our hometown a better place.”
