Cricket Coming to Summerville
Summerville Parks and Recreation Committee approves cricket proposal to bring the British sport to South Carolina.
The popular British sport of cricket will be coming to Summerville after the town's Park and Recreation Committee approved a club's proposal, the Journal Scene reported.
The publication wrote:
The committee agreed to recommend funding for the upfront costs of helping establish the Summerville Cricket Club ... Parks Manager Doyle Best said the town already maintains the field so there would be little additional work it would need to do.
