Highway Patrol: Man Killed Making Illegal U-Turn on 17-A

A Georgia man died Sunday night after making an illegal U-turn on Highway 17-A near Clubhouse Road, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

The resulting wreck ensnared two other vehicles.

Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet identified the man as Dwayne M. Addison, 50, of Forest Park, Ga. 

Highway Patrol reported that Addison was traveling north when he attempted to make an illegal U-turn in the middle of the road. A vehicle behind him struck him in the driver's side door. Another vehicle, traveling the opposite direction, was struck after Addison lost control of his vehicle, according to Highway Patrol.
