
Summerville Police and Fire Departments will host a free car seat inspection and education 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, as part of National Seat Check Saturday.
Car seat inspections will be by certified Child Passenger Safety technicians. Technicians will be on hand to teach parents and caregivers on how to choose the right car seats for their children and how to install them correctly.
According to a statement by Summerville Police, motor vehicle crashes are the leading killer of children ages 1 to 13.Â
