
Homer E. Seymour, 78, of Ladson, husband of Grace J. Seymour, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Trident Medical Center.
Visitation were held Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012 at 10 o’clock at the funeral home. Funeral service followed at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be private. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401 or American Lung Association, 44-A Markfield Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.

Mr. Seymour was born February 24, 1934 in Sweetwater, Tennessee, son of the late Virgil and Mary Smith Seymour. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving as a jet engine mechanic. He later retired from Lockheed Missiles & Space Company as a Missile Mechanic. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed “tinkering”, loved working on his farm and was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Surviving in addition to his wife are: one son: Gary D. Seymour (Amanda) of Nassau, Bahamas, two daughters: Bonnie L. Moore (Bob) of Charleston and Wendy L. Crump (Gwin) of Chapin, SC, four grandchildren: Michael J. Moore of Cottageville, Tyler Moore of Ladson, Schaeffer Seymour of Nassau, Bahamas and Lindsay E. Crump of West Columbia, two brothers: Jimmy Vinson of Saluda, SC, Charles R. Bryant of Graniteville, SC and one sister: Marianne B. Price (Patrick) of North Augusta, SC and a very special aunt: Ruby B. Patty of Sweetwater, TN, large extended family and many loving friends. He was predeceased by three sisters: Opal Seymour Heath, Jean Kulick and Mary Helen Hazuda.
