Joyce H. Otruba, 78, of Summerville, widow of Stephen Otruba, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012.

A private service and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Ste. 1509, New York, NY 10018.

Mrs. Otruba was born March 14, 1934 in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Phillip and Catherine Hess Pfeiffer. She was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing piano and Bridge. She was a member of the Garden Club of Mount Pleasant and All Saints Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are: two daughters and two sons: Marcia Otruba of Mt. Pleasant, Nancy Preston of Mountain View, CA, Eric Otruba of Lancaster, PA and Dr. Michael Otruba of Summerville, three grandchildren: Shelby Otruba of Lancaster, PA, Jamison Otruba and Christopher Otruba both of Mt. Pleasant and one sister: Catherine Muraschi of San Diego, CA.
