Robert P. Draper, Sr. 42, of Summerville, husband of Stephanie Draper, passed away Monday morning, December 10, 2012 at his residence.

Memorial service will be held Saturday morning, December 15, 2012 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Inurnment will be held at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, Texas 77030.

Robert was born September 25, 1970 in Charleston, son of Edward Draper, Jr. of Goose Creek and Bettie Smith Draper of Charleston. He was a graduate of Gordon H. Garrett High School and attended Trident Technical College. He served in the United States Army during the Desert Storm War. He was a member of New Life Changing Ministries Church. He worked at the South Carolina Ports Authority as a container handler.

Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are: two sons and one daughter: Robert P. Draper, Jr, Edward G. Draper and Alanna Draper all of Summerville, one brother: Edward Draper, III of Charleston and four sisters: Michelle Gilliard of Augusta, GA, Carlotta Scott (Glen) of Charleston, Jacqueline Brown (Anthony) of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Heyward (Mike) of Summerville and a host of nieces and nephews.
