Rainwater Washes Out Part of Sawmill Branch Trail
Repairs are slated for next week.
A severe washout has been reported at the Sawmill Branch Trail, according to Parks and Recreation Manager Doyle Best. The washout was discovered Aug. 1.
The washout has caused the trail to be closed from East Richardson Avenue to Gahagan Road. The parks department is rerouting trail users to access points at Gahagan Road or Ashley Road.
Repairs to the trail are expected next week, but other storm water issues around town have taken precedent, according to Best.
