St. George Woman Killed in Orangeburg Road, Highway 78 Wreck

A St. George woman was killed in a construction zone early Thursday morning after an alleged drunk driver ran into the back of her, driving her vehicle into a stopped dump truck, Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet reported.

Andrea Miller, 29, of Ridgeville, was charged with felony DUI after the incident, according to the Post and Courier. 

Vickie Turner Bryant, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene of Orangeburg Road and Highway 78. Bryant was stopped in a work zone behind a dump truck at a flagman. The vehicle, driven by Miller, ran into the back of Bryant's vehicle, pushing her into the dump truck.
