A Call To Men: Engaging Men in Ending Violence Against Women
"Breakfast with a Wake-Up Call" aims to encourage men to join in efforts to end domestic violence and other forms of violence against women.

The statistics are staggering: 1 in 5 female college students are sexually assaulted; 1 in 4 women are the victims of domestic violence; and over 50% of middle and high-school girls experience sexual harassment in school.
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year, awareness efforts will focus on encouraging and equipping men to join in efforts to end domestic violence and other forms of violence against women.
On Friday, September 27, Safe Harbor, Julie Valentine Center, the Fatherhood Coalition and Compass of Carolina, are inviting men to “come to the table” by hosting a Community Breakfast at the Kroc Center from 8:00am-9:30am entitled, “A Call To Men: Equipping Men to End Violence Against Women and Girls.”
