Adoption Event To Be Held Sunday

November is Adoption Awareness Month, and a church in Taylors is partnering with DSS Region 1 to host an adoption awareness event Sunday afternoon. 

The event, held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Velocity Church in Taylors, is geared toward raising awareness of the need for adoption of older children in the program. 

The event will also feature the movie "The Blind Side," with popcorn and snacks. Childcare will be provided to children 6 years old and younger. The event is free to the community, and will provide attendees with more information about adoption options through the Department of Social Services. 

Velocity Church is located at 1720 Reid School Road in Taylors.
