Arrest Made Made In Greer Shooting

Robert Jason Frady faces multiple charges for allegedly shooting victim on Jan. 2.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office for allegedly shooting someone and dropping him off at a local hospital earlier this week. 

Robert Jason Frady faces charges of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon. 

On Jan. 2, the Greer Police Department contacted the Sheriff's Office regarding the incident, in which a gun shot victim was dropped off at Greer Memorial Hospital earlier in the day.

Deputies were asked to locate a black Camero that had been captured on the hospital security cameras delivering the injured victim.  The search for the vehicle eventually led deputies and investigators to a home at 242 Ponder Road in Greer. 

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office determined that Frady and the victim got into an argument, during which Frady brandished a gun. During the altercation, Frady allegedly shot the victim and fled the scene.

The GCSO's Violent Crimes Unit continued to investigate the shooting and with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force were able to locate and arrest Frady on Thursday. 

Frady is being held at Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.
