Welcome Elementary was chosen based on its 96 percent poverty rate.
The makeover included constructing and staining a picnic table, creating educational wall hangings, assembling bookshelves, landscape-mulch, and grass cutting, sorting supplies, and stuffing student bags. The store also held a bake sale and auction, hosted by associates who personally baked items and contributed to the auction, which raised more than $1,200 for the school.Â
