Blue Ridge Finds New Life In Playoffs

After losing its first round game last Friday, Blue Ridge High still advances.

Blue Ridge High School football players got an unexpected extension to their season this week, as they were told Thursday afternoon to be ready to play Friday night in the second round of the playoffs, GreerToday.com reports.

Lower Richland had defeated Blue Ridge last Friday night, but on Thursday officials from the South Carolina High School League informed Blue Ridge that Lower Richland High had used an ineligible player and had to forfeit the game.

Blue Ridge, now officially 10-1, will play at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Daniel High School in their second round game.
