Blue Ridge High To Hold Farm Day

On April 20, Blue Ridge High will hold its annual farm day at Lindsey Plantation in Taylors.

Blue Ridge High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) will present its 17th
Annual Farm Day at the Lindsey Plantation at 8 a.m., April 20.

The free event will last until 4 p.m., and will feature hay rides, animal exhibits and a plant sale, all operated by Blue Ridge High School students. 

Vegetables and flowering plants will be available for sale during the Farm Day, and live entertainment and locally smoked BBQ lunch will also be offered.

Antique and new tractors will be on display along with other equipment exhibits.

The site of the Farm Day, the Lindsey Plantation, located at 750 Camp Creek Road in Taylors, was established in the 1830's, and is currently a cattle and hay operation.

Blue Ridge's Farm Day is designed to spotlight the economic importance and historic significance of Greenville county agriculture and the education of youth to insure its future.
