Bob Jones Academy Students Advance In Forensic League Tournament

BJA students will represent South Carolina in nationals.

Seven members of the Bob Jones Academy Forensic Team advanced from the recent National Forensic League’s (NFL) District Qualifier Tournament and will represent South Carolina at the NFL National Tournament on June 16-21 in Birmingham, Ala.

The following students will represent South Carolina at the NFL National Tournament:

  • Policy Debate – Micah Samuels (Piedmont) and Elliott Kelley (Easley)
  • Policy Debate – Nichole Martinson (Greenville) and Will Christmas (Easley)
  • Lincoln Douglas Debate – Marina Shew (Greenville)
  • Dramatic Interpretation – Helena Sullivan (Easley) and Margaret Stegall (Greenville)

 

Additionally, BJA students received bids, based on high placements at local tournaments, to attend the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions on May 10-11 in San Antonio, Texas:

  • Duo Interpretation – Caleb Miller (Greenville) and Leah Petterson (Greenville)
  • Original Oratory – Caleb Miller (Greenville)
  • Dramatic Interpretation – Helena Sullivan (Easley) and Margaret Stegall (Greenville)
