Checkpoint Scheduled On Greenville's East Side

Greenville County Sheriff's Office setting up checkpoint early Friday morning.

Greenville's east side will be the site of a Greenville County Sheriff's Office safety checkpoint early Friday morning to protect the public.

According to a release from the Sheriff's Office:

"From time to time the Sheriff’s Office has been involved with other law enforcement agencies conducting Public Safety Checkpoints. When these checkpoints are set up, the primary agency conducting the checkpoint should in some way notify the public of their location, date, and time of operation. The thought process behind this is that by alerting the public ahead of time, it will deter motorists from violating laws such as DUI.
