Clemson Star Baptized, Breaks Record
DeAndre Hopkins had a very meaningful Thursday last week, followed up by a big Saturday.

After catching a school record 13 balls Saturday for Clemson in the Georgia Dome, including the game-winning touchdown, DeAndre "Nuke" Hopkins may have had some onlookers thinking the junior wide receiver must have been getting some help from the man upstairs.Â
Maybe he was.Â
Hopkins was baptized Thursday on the Clemson practice field, surrounded by his teammates. The moment was captured and put on twitter by wide receiver coach Jeff Scott.Â

"Highlight of my week...was seeing DeAndre Hopkins get baptised in front of his teammates on Thursday after practice," Scott tweeted, along with a photo of the moment.Â
Two days later, Hopkins showed out on national television, reeling in 13 catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. The 13 grabs set the school record for most receptions in a game.Â

The epic performance couldn't have come at a better time for the Tigers, who were missing All-American wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who won't return until the Week 3 matchup with Furman. Will great things be in store for the sophomore sensation, then?Â
After all, he too recently took a transformative dip this summer.Â
