Dems Call for Inquiry Into Plane Usage
Orangeburg rep has questions for Ethics Committee.

Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter (D-Orangeburg) sent a letter to Rep. Kenny Bingham (R - Lexington), who is the Chairman of the House Ethics Committee, on Thursday asking for an opinion on whether or not it is permitted for a member of the South Carolina General Assembly to access the state plane to transport subcommittee witnesses. Cobb-Hunter's full letter is attached.
The inquiry comes a day after House Democrats learned that a witness at Wednesday's hearing on H. 3101--better known as the Obamacare Nullification Bill--was flown on the South Carolina state plane from the Washington, DC area to Columbia for the purpose of testifying in support of the bill.
Bill Chumley, a lead sponsor of the bill, confirmed to Patch that the the state plane had been used to fly Walter Williams to the hearing.
