
The Eastside Eagles wrestling team took home its first title since 2009 over the weekend, The Greenville News reported.Â
The Eagles defeated Hannahan High School 38-27 to take home another state championship.
Eastside, a perennial powerhouse the high school wrestling, has now won nine state titles since 2000. The Eagles' victory over Hannahan included a win over All-American Hannahan standout J.J. Johnson by Eastside's Clay Walker in the 132 weight class.Â
