Field Trip Planned for Teachers Wednesday
On Wednesday, educators will have an opportunity to explore exhibits and program spaces offered on the Green for inspiration on field trips and On-the-Road experiences.

Trying to decide on field trips for the classroom? What about Heritage Green.
There's six venues to explore for both educational and cultural purposes and on Wednesday teachers have an opportunity the all of the area's offerings.
From 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, educators will have an opportunity to explore exhibits and program spaces offered on the Green for inspiration on field trips and On-the-Road experiences. Teachers will have an opportunity to see the Bob Jones Museum & Gallery, The Children's Museum of the Upstate, Greenville County Museum of Art, Greenville Little Theater, Hughes Main Library of the Greenville County Library System, and Upcountry History Museum-Furman University.Â
"Students love to go on field trips," said Nancy Halverson, president and CEO of the Children's Museum of the Upstate. "Heritage Green provides a wealth of educational and cultural opportunities that bring the theoretical concepts covered in the classroom to life by allowing students to experience active hands on learning. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming educators from across the Upstate to come and see all that Heritage Green has to offer."
Teachers who make it to every venue will be automatically registered to win a collection of prizes from each institution.Â
