Former Clemson, NGU Quarterback Willy Korn To Begin Coaching Career
Korn, who went from Clemson, to Marshall, to North Greenville, remains in the Palmetto State to begin his coaching career at Charleston Southern.

In a football career chock full of both promise and adversity, Willy Korn has continued to do what he does best - endure.Â
Korn is now the wide receivers coach at Charleston Southern University, multiple media outlets report.Â
Korn and new Charleston Southern coach Jamie Chadwell, who coached Korn at North Greenville, have confirmed the former Clemson quarterback's new position.Â

Korn came to Clemson in 2007 under the weight of immense expectations, as he was tabbed one of the top quarterbacks in the nation coming out of a stellar career at Byrnes High School.Â
But at Clemson, Korn couldn't catch a break. A shoulder injury caused by a vicious hit in his first and only start in 2008 against Georgia Tech, coupled with the rise of two-sport star Kyle Parker left Korn lost in the shuffle, and the kid expected to wow Tiger fans saw limited action until 2009, when he transferred to Marshall.Â

When Marshall coaches told Korn they wanted him to move from quarterback - his natural position - to defensive back, Korn found a new home at North Greenville University, where his career enjoyed a much deserved resurgence.
Korn inked a deal with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League last year, but now his football dreams will take him to Charleston, where he will coach his younger brother, Colton, who committed to CSU.Â
