Former Riverside Baseball Standout Takes On Motivational Speaking

Michael Roth, who made a name for himself at Riverside High School and then the University of South Carolina, has launched a professional motivational speaking business on top of his baseball career.

Michael Roth, whose baseball career at Riverside propelled him into a successful collegiate career at the Univeristy of South Carolina, where he won two national championships, is still pushing himself to succeed on and off the field, The State reports.

Roth, who graduated from USC with a 3.8 GPA and a degree in international business, just completed his first season with the Orem Owlz, a rookie level club in Utah.

But on the side, he's also launched Michael T. Roth Enterprises, a professional motivational speaking firm. He just recently spoke to hundreds of students at Hammond School in Columbia, talking to the children about pursuing their dreams, and setting priorities in life.
