Hundreds of runners and walkers braved some cool temperatures to take part in the American Cancer Society's Moonlight 5K in Greer. 

The proceeds of the run/walk went toward the American Cancer Society, which has a local office in Greenville that serves Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union Counties.

The run, which circled around the community adjacent to the MESA Soccer Complex on Anderson Ridge Road, was followed up by an afterparty that included music and barbeque.
