Monterrey Mexican Restaurant opened for business Monday, and already had steady business during lunch hour.

The Monterrey restaurant 6100 block of Wade Hampton Boulevard in between Taylors and Greer, opened its doors Monday to steady business. 

Dozens of people were already streaming in before noon Monday, ordering off of a menu that boasts traditional Mexican fare like fajitas, burritos, tacos and a full bar. 

The new eatery, is situated between Discount Tire and a shopping center that houses Mythos Greek & Italian Restaurant, Rothbeck Designs and Salon Sophia.
