Gov. Nikki Haley Coming To Greer For Inland Port Groundbreaking

Gov. Nikki Haley will deliver remarks at a celebration of South Carolina breaking ground on its Inland Port, a feature expected to help drive further economic development in the state.

The Inland Port site will be at 1120 East Poinsett Street in Greer. The celebration begins at 1 p.m.  

Governor Nikki Haley will deliver remarks at South Carolina’s Inland Port groundbreaking celebration in Greer on Friday, March 1, at 1:00 PM.

The port is expected to become functional this fall, and is situated close to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and BMW, both of which are in Greer.  

The port will allow companies like BMW to more efficiently ship goods directly by rail to and from the Port of Charleston, not to mention eliminate more than 50,000 truck trips annually along the Interstate 26 corridor between Charleston and Greenville-Spartanburg.
