Greenville Tech Named One of "Best for Vets" Schools
Military Times releases rankings of best schools for veterans

Greenville Technical College has been named as one of the “Best for Vets” among career and technical colleges this year by Military Times.
Public community and technical institutions accounted for six of the top 10 spots in the list. Military Times considered some 140 career and technical colleges in the review. These colleges were among those self-identifying as career and technical schools while participating in a Military Times annual survey.
Greenville Tech received a ranking of #38 out of 60 top ranking colleges.

Positive marks were received for having a per-credit-hour rate for all programs that was at or below the federal $250 per credit hour tuition assistance limit in the 2011-12 school year; having academic programs that are at or below the Post-9/11 GI Bill’s nationwide cap on tuition and fees for the 2012-13 school year; having a central office for handling veterans issues; and having staff devoted to veterans issues.
“We are pleased to be among the colleges named Best for Vets,” said Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College. “While this recognition is gratifying, it doesn’t mean that our efforts to support veterans are done. We are committed to taking care of the people who have protected our country.”
