Greer Citizens Building and Loan Gives $5,000 to Jobs Program

The Citizens Building and Loan Foundation of Greer has given $5,000 to support the Quick Jobs With a Future program at Greenville Technical College. The gift will provide tuition assistance to students
from the Greater Greer area. Quick Jobs With a Future provides short-term training to provide skills needed to enter a career field. Most participants are unemployed, underemployed or people reentering the workforce. In presenting the gift, CBL Foundation Board Chairman, Paul Rogers (Executive Director/Treasurer of Joshua’s Way) said, “Our unemployment rate is too high and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of helping to make it one of the lowest in the state.”
