Greer High's Massey Runner-Up for Teacher of Year

A local teacher almost won the top honor Friday.
Greer High's Adam Massey, who teaches business at the school, was named first runner-up for Greenville County's Teacher of the Year Friday.
Massey is the program coordinator for Greer's Virtual Enterprise Team, a simulated business that is set up and run by students. The school has earned the state title three times during the South Carolina Virtual Enterprise Business Plan Competition.
Massey has been a teacher for six years. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and his master's of education from the University of Georgia.
