Greer Police Needs Sponsors, Teams for Annual Golf Tournament

Greer police is gearing up for its annual golf tournament to help children in the area.

The annual Cops for Tots Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 8 at Greer Country Club.

The captain's choice style of play will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Lt. Jim Holcombe said the event helps to purchase Christmas presents for children in Greenville and Spartanburg counties. 

Last year, the campaign helped to buy presents for more than 600 children.

Clardy Law Firm is a corporate sponsor of this year's event.
