Homes In Greer Community Evacuated For Gas Leak

Multiple homes in the Greer area were evacuated Friday afternoon after a gas leak was detected there, FoxCarolina.com reports. 

The Boiling Springs Fire Department evacuated 10 homes in the New Tarleton Way area Friday after a tractor reportedly hit a gas line, causing a leak. Only a handful of people were home at the time of the incident. 

Piedmont Natural Gas was on scene Friday afternoon to repair the leak.
