Horse Mutilated In Travelers Rest, Sheriff's Office Investigating

Greenville County Sheriff's Office investigating a malicious injury to an animal.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is trying to find out who caused severe injuries to a horse in the Travelers Rest area. 

Between the hours of 6:30 p.m., Feb. 14 and 2:30 p.m., Feb. 16, someone attacked a horse at 438 Belvue Road in Traveleres Rest. 

When the owner of the horse arrived at the location feed the animals, she reportedly found the face of the horse to have been mutilated. A veterinarian was called to the property, who told authorities that the wounds sustained by the horse were not consistent with injuries from an attack by another animal.
