
Sunday morning you will lose an hour in your day, as 2 a.m. will mark the beginning of daylight saving time.
While you may lose an hour of sleep, you will gain an extra hour of daylight.
So remember before you head to bed on Saturday night, move your clocks ahead one hour.

In 2007, a federal law said that daylight saving time would be observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. The bill was written as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and signed into law by George W. Bush in August 2005.
However, the law doesn't require any area to observe the time change. In fact, Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam, stay on standard time throughout the year.

During this time, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) also urges consumers to replace the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms this weekend. The commission recommends changing batteries at least once a year.
