July Was A Record Month For Housing Starts In The City Of Greer

A total of 124 housing starts during July set an all-time record for a single month in the City of Greer.

To put that figure into perspective, July’s total was more than the entire year in 2009, 2010 and 2011. It fell just two starts short of the total in 2008 and six shy of 2013..

"This activity is a clear sign that upstate residents are flocking to the City of Greer," Helms said. "Completion of the downtown CenterG project, anticipation of additional retail business, the quality of existing merchants and restaurants, and the delivery of a high quality of life from City services has people excited about the opportunity to live in Greer."
