K-Mart Robbery Suspect Identified

A 49-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he cut a K-Mart employee after stealing from the store. 

Ahmed Randy King was arrested regarding an incident at the K-Mart at 2100 Wade Hampton Boulevard that saw King allegedly steal from the store and cut an employee with a knife before fleeing on foot.

King was caught at the nearby Red Lobster near Wade Hampton High School, where the high school and the on-campus Fine Arts Center were briefly locked down. 

King is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $40,000 bond after being charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
