Lattimore To Have Surgery Today

For the second season in a row, South Carolina's star running back has had his season cut short by injury.

Marcus Lattimore, the former Byrnes High School standout and current star at the University of South Carolina, will undergo surgery today on the knee devastated by a gruesome injury last Saturday, WSPA reports.

Lattimore will have the first of at least two surgeries his right knee, per sources close to the situation. Lattimore dislocated his knee and sustained significant ligament damage when a Tennessee defender tackled him while he was making a run during the first half of the Gamecocks' game against the Volunteers.

Lattimore had already injured his knee once last year, an injury which kept him out of about half the season.
