Prize Doubled In Upcoming Greer Fishing Tournament

The 18th Annual Greer Family Fest Bass Tournament will give out a $1,000 award.

More than 100 anglers will participate in the 18th Annual Greer Family Fest Bass Tournament on April 13, and one lucky fisherman will take home a cool $1,000. 

The Greer Chamber announced Thursday that the tournament on Lake Robinson, a fixture during Greer Family Fest, presented by Greer Commission of Public Works, will give out 11 cash prizes totallying more than $3,000, including a grand prize for biggest fish of $1,000. 

Gates will open at 5 a.m., blast off will be at 6:30 a.m., and the weigh-in will be at 3 p.m.

The tournament kick-off banquet will be held on Friday, April 12 at Riverside Baptist Church at 6 pm. The banquet includes dinner, door prizes, blast-off drawing, and a special guest speaker. Every participant will receive a t-shirt, a listing of the rules, and other door prizes.
