Local radio shows are extending an already successful food drive through Dec. 14th with the addition of RelyLocal, a local advocate for local business and community rebuilding. The first beneficiary was the Triune Mercy Center in Greenville.
Another Voice with Jason and Eric, Spin-FM, 103.3 and La Nueva 103.9 realize that the struggling economy, cold weather and the holiday season combine to clear the shelves of local food banks as more families are in need and more of the homeless seek aid from shelters and food banks. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the two radio stations are placing food donation boxes in local stores across Greenville County and collecting non-perishable food items extending into December.
