UPDATED: Rapper DMX Arrested in Greenville
Troopers said the rapper, who lives in Greer, was charged with DUI, driving without a driver's license and driving without a seat belt.
Rapper DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested Thursday by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Simmons was stopped at 9:50 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Wade Hampton Boulevard and Rushmore Drive, after troopers said they had received a phone call about a motorist driving erratically in the area.
Simmons, who was driving a 1978 Primus stationwagon, failed a field sobriety tests, troopers said.Â

Simmons has been charged with driving under the influence, driving without a South Carolina driver's license and for not wearing a seat belt.
DMX was arrested in Spartanburg County in February for driving without a license.
