Rapper DMX Arrested in Greer Again
Tuesday's arrest marks third time Lyman resident has been arrested in the Upstate this year.

Rapper DMX has been arrested again in the Greer area.
Greer Today reports that DMX – real name Earl Simmons – was a passenger in a truck that was pulled over by Greer police Tuesday evening.
Simmons was charged with simple possession of marijuana and was arrested when officers recognized him and realized he had an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.

Tuesday's arrest was the third time DMX, who lives in Lyman, has been arrested in the Upstate this year. Simmons was arrested in February in Spartanburg County and charged with driving without a license.
Last month, the South Carolina Highway Patrol arrested Simmons after receiving a call about a motorist driving erratically in the area.Troopers pulled Simmons over at the intersection of Wade Hampton Boulevard and Rushmore Drive. Simmons, who was driving a 1978 Primus stationwagon, failed a field sobriety tests, troopers said.Â

He was been charged with driving under the influence, driving without a South Carolina driver's license and for not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the truck involved in Tuesday's incident, Anitra Rhodes, 39, of Greenville, was charged with simple possession of marijuana.
