Safe Bingo Debuts For Greer Seniors Through SOAR

Games are broadcasted over a low-power FM transmitter that allowed seniors to remain in their vehicles.

"During these challenging times we've had to get creative on the programming side of things, obviously, especially for our seniors," said Justin Miller, Recreation Supervisor for the City of Greer.

On September 24 at Victor Park, that meant broadcasting Bingo games over a low-power FM transmitter that allowed seniors to remain in their vehicles and play along by listing to their car radios. Participants are part of the City of Greer's Seniors Out and Around (SOAR) group that gathers regularly for social activities.
