Salon Says Woman Scammed Makeover
A mystery woman promising free publicity for a local salon in exchange for a makeover scammed the business, owners say.

A woman scammed her way into a free makeover by lying to a local salon, WYFF reports.
A woman going by the alias Ashley Mega went to Halton Hair in Greenville, reportedly promising free advertising in a magazine if they gave her a makeover in advance of an article.Â
News 4 was told by stylists that least three Greenville hair salons were targeted by the woman falsely claiming to work for Town magazine. The promotional makeover, valued at $600, didn't benefit the salon at all, however, as it was discovered that the woman didn't work for the magazine, and no article was found.Â
