Saylors Named Chairman Of School Board
Chuck Saylors, who represents much of Taylors on the Greenville County School Board, elected chair.

Taylors resident Chuck Saylors will lead the Greenville County School Board in 2013, after being elected by the rest of the trustees as the board's chairman, The Greenville News reports.Â
Saylors, who represents District 20, which encompasses much of the Taylors area, was first elected to the school board in 2002, and will take on the roll of chairman from Roger Meeks, who served in the position for a difficult two-year stretch that included a budget crunch and superintendent search.Â
Saylors had already served a two-year stint himself as chairman before becoming the president of the National Parent Teacher Association in 2009. Â
