South Carolina Takes Down North Carolina In Shrine Bowl

North Carolina, boasting numerous major college commitments, upset by South Carolina.

T.L. Hanna Linebacker Ben Boulware shined as he led the underdog South Carolina Sandlappers to a surprising win over North Carolina in the 76th Shrine Bowl, GreenvilleNews.com reports.

“Everybody who talked to us said we had no chance to win,” said South Carolina Coach Ray Stackley. “I think our kids played with a little chip on their shoulder. We didn’t talk all week; we just came in here and walked the walk.”

South Carolina held North Carolina to just one first down in the first half, while it put up two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to stun North Carolina 23-19.
