SWAT Sent To Taylors Home, Suspected Arrested

A man wanted on a criminal domestic violence warrant was taken into custody.

After a brief standoff with deputies, a man surrendered himself Thursday in Taylors and was arrested.

At roughly 11:30 a.m., deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office's warrants unit arrived at 12 Stevenson Road in Taylors to serve an outstanding criminal domestic violence, 3rd offense warrant on William Todd Miller, but when they tried to contact the suspect, he refused to answer from within the home, said Laura Campbell, spokesperson for the GCSO.

Due to the violent nature of the offense for which Miller was wanted, and the fact that he had a previous resisting arrest conviction, the Sheriff's Office's SWAT team was activated and sent to the location.
